Auction for AMREF Flying Doctors, will close.
Blooming Forever will organise an auction in November 2007 for AMREF Flying Docters.
AMREF Flying Doctors fights poverty by giving disadvantaged people in Africa access to care and by empowering them to take control of their right to good health. AMREF is founded in 1957 as the ‘Flying Doctors of East Africa’. In the beginning the organization transported doctors to perform medical care in outlying districts. In the meantime AMREF is the largest health development organization in Africa. 97% of the AMREF staff are from Africa.Through the training, education and operational research offered in our programmes, we work together with them and with local organisations to arrive at innovative, sustainable solutions. We share our experiences with policy makers, health workers and other development organisations worldwide. We accomplish more through goal-oriented and effective cooperation. The work of AMREF Netherlands is possible thanks to the support of all our donors. Their financial contributions are used efficiently and with the utmost accountability to support our programmes.
